Nous avons commencé à déménager petit à petit et nous serons en France fin juin 2008. Nous sommes très pris par les préparatifs (une nouvelle vie commence!), ce qui explique les mises à
jours tres irrégulieres sur ce blog! Mais après notre retour, c'est promis, nous vous tiendrons regulièrement informés des progrès des travaux dans notre loft. Dès juillet en effet nous
commencons les travaux d'aménagement de l'aile droite de la grange.
Voici à quoi ressemble le rez-de-chaussée en ce moment:
We have started to prepare our move to France, that's why we've been so busy and haven't had the time to do any work nor update the Blog! But once in France (end of
juin 2008), the renovation works will start again and I´ll keep you informed with the refurbishment of our Loft.

Dans l'aile gauche du rez-de-chaussée (d'où j'ai pris cette photo) il y aura deux grandes chambres d'hôtes (des suites), ensuite le hall d'entrée cathédrale (entre le poêle et l'escalier) puis un grand salon avec la cuisine au fond, au niveau de la grande porte vitrée.
On the left wing of the ground floor, from where this picture was taken, there will be two guests suites, then the cathedral-like entrance hall, between the stairs and the woodstove, followed by a large livingroom with an open-plan kitchen at the far end where the large glazed door is.

À l'étage, sur l'aile droite, il y aura notre partie d'habitation privative avec trois chambres, un bureau mezzanine, deux salles de bains et un salon TV.
On the right wing of the first floor, we'll have our private accommodation area, with three bedrooms, an office(mezzanine), two bathrooms and a TV room.
De l'autre coté, une très grande pièce destinée aux loisirs (home cinema,billard,baby-foot,etc).

Pour finir, j'inclus deux photos sympas prises de la fenêtre de la mezzanine du Gîte. La première montre les 40 mètres de toiture de la Grange Piltière, le hangar et une partie de notre champ. La deuxième photo presente une vue d'ensemble de l'autre moitié de l'ancienne ferme qui appartient à nos voisins qui, eux aussi, sont en pleine rénovation...
Below, to finish the article, two nice pictures taken from the Gîte's mezzanine window. The first shows the whole of the Grange Piltière's 40 metres long roof, the dutch barn and our field. The second shows a general view of what used to be the other half of the old farm which now belongs to my neighbours, who are also renovating...
L'équipe de choc: mes beaux-parents à gauche,moi et Josée,la marraine
de ma femme.
Plus besoin de prendre une bonne douche chaude chez mes
beau-parents...La voici presque finie.
Remarquez le plafond: meme si les poutres et solives ne soutiennent plus le plancher d'origine
(a cause de la creation de la dalle en beton), on conserve tout de meme ce materiau d'origine afin de garder le cachet et le caractere d'une batisse agricole.
